Description: The estimated number of recovered individuals is calculated by using the total number of cases, not including the past two weeks of cases, multiplied by an ascertainment bias (options include 3x, 5x). This value, which varies by county, is the basis for a county-level estimate of recovered individuals. The recovery index represents the percentage of recovered individuals. Note that vaccination of individuals will increase the number of protected individuals in a community. We are working to include these estimates in a future update.
